Things Americans Get Wrong about Russia

Conflict between the United States and Russia is inevitable. Not true. It would be fairly easy to work out compromises and devise a peaceful coexistance. The problem is that unlike the Cold War, there is no fear of nuclear war which inspired compromise in the 1970s and 1980s. Instead there is little incentive in either Russia or the United States for leaders to develop the kind of effective working relationship that Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev had.
